　　CNQC Won the First Prize of “Construction Science and Technology Prize of China”

　　Recently, Construction Science and Technology Awards Committee of China issued decisions on 2015 “Construction Science and Technology Prize of China”. The national standard CB50666-2011 Code for Construction of Concrete Structures won the First Prize of Construction Science and Technology Prize of China, in which, CNQC participated in its preparation. In this year, 120 wining projects are selected, in which, there are 13 projects winning the First Prize, 28 projects winning the Second Prize and 79 projects winning the Third Prize.

　　“Construction Science and Technology Prize of China” initiated by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China is the industry science and technology prize representing the most advanced science and technology level of the construction industry. Up to now, CNQC’s three projects won the prize. Another two projects separately are “long span curve surface steel roof unequal elevation accumulation-integral high-altitude curve sliding comprehensive construction technology” and “rock mass foundation trench basement anti-floating key technology research”.

　　Code for Construction of Concrete Structures (hereinafter referred to as “Code”) is the important standard in China’s construction industry. This Code is mainly prepared by China Academy of Building Research. CNQC and many domestic famous construction enterprises also participate in its preparation. This Code was prepared beginning with May, 2007, issued in July, 2011 and implemented in August, 2012. As one of the organizations participating in preparation of the Code, CNQC was mainly engaged in preparation of the parts of formwork and pre-stressed concrete.

　　The Code comprehensively summarizes the practical experience and research achievements of China’s constructions of concrete structures in recent 20 years, carries out many monographic studies, refines and summarizes the general and common requirements in the construction of concrete structures, fills up the blank in the state-level code for construction of concrete structures and makes great contributions to integrate relevant requirements of various levels and kinds of standards. As the mandatory national standard for engineering construction, the Code is used widely and it plays an important role in guaranteeing the quality of engineering, promoting application of new technologies, normalizing operation of construction, reducing the engineering accidents, improving the security of the concrete structures, and it also reduces the management costs of the whole industry, so it has the obvious social benefit, economic benefit and environmental benefit.
